Mr. Marquardson assists clients and their advisors with business transaction tax planning, with an emphasis on real estate transactions. A graduate of the University of Washington School of Law in 1979, he has been with LeSourd & Patten since that time.
Mr. Marquardson negotiates and provides tax analysis of purchases, leases, contracts, and other significant transactions for a variety of large and small business clients. He helps set up business entities, both profit and non-profit, drafts agreements between owners, advises on estate planning, and supervises the firm’s probate practice.
He has been involved as an owner and for clients in the purchase, rehabilitation, management, sale, and exchange of residential land and apartment buildings and he has handled a wide range of real property investment matters for individuals, partnerships and corporations.
He lives with his family in Newport Hills and enjoys winter skiing and summer hiking. He and his wife, Jeanie, have four children.
